From working as a News Editor to Freelanced stories across the country, Karli's stories that have featured on the front page, has covered beats as: Human Rights, Indigenous, International, LGBTQ2, Health, Law, Housing & Homelessness, Arts, Music, Sports and Agriculture.
With recognition and screening at the Atlantic Film Festival and the Halifax Black Film Festival, she has won film awards under CTV's Shorts. Graduating from a major in Documentary Film, she excels in film and story production dedicated to providing a platform and voice to the marginalized.
Whether paid contracts for events, for journalism stories, or as hobby, Karli excels in capturing the spit seconds of human emotion including protests.
She also loves capturing food, aviation, the night sky, animals and nature.
Invited as a guest presenter & workshop host including Canadian Roots Exchange's the national youth truth & reconciliation organization, Karli is a seasoned trainer/mentor & project supervisor including working in 2 First Nations as a Community Journalism Trainer for Journalists for Human Rights.
Her mentees have won national awards and created monthly publications.
Having been invited to speak at high schools as a motivational speaker, Karli also teaches English as a Second Language.
